Maud Humphrey Bogart Collection
The Maud Humphrey Bogart Collection was introduced in 1988 by Hamilton Gifts Ltd, based upon the water color illustrations of Maud Humphrey Bogart. It included detailed figurines and gift accessories. The collection was retired in 1994.

The figurine collection was created in cold cast resin and porcelain bisque. They came in three sizes (full, miniature and petite). All pieces were hand-painted and most produced in a limited edition, with accompanying certificate of authenticity.

The collection was launched with an initial 9 cold cast resin figurines, limited in production to 15,000 pieces each. These initial figurines were:
  1. Tea And Gossip
  2. Cleaning House
  3. Susanna
  4. Little Chickadees
  5. The Magic Kitten
  6. The Seamstress
  7. A Pleasure To Meet You
  8. My First Dance
  9. Sarah

In 1989, as well as growing the figurine collection, a series of 10 Maud Humphrey collectible plates was added to the collection, via The Hamilton Collection, entitled Little Ladies. It was originally intended to be a set of 8 plates, but 2 more were added due to the popularity of the series. Each was made from fine porcelain with 23k burnished gold rim and limited to 14 firing days. They measure 8.5" in diameter.

The 10 plates in the Little Ladies series were:
  1. Playing Bridesmaid
  2. The Seamstress
  3. The Little Captive
  4. Playing Mamma
  5. Susanna
  6. Kitty?s Bath
  7. A Day In The Country
  8. Sarah
  9. First Party
  10. The Magic Kitten

In 1990, the first porcelain bisque figurines were introduced in limited editions of 15,000 pieces.

In 1991, the Petite collection was introduced, providing the most popular figurines in a smaller size and at a more affordable price.

Note that in 1991, the collection began to be issued by Enesco. Stanhome Inc, the parent of Enesco at the time (and since renamed to Enesco), acquired Hamilton in 1989 and by 1991 had integrated parts of its collectibles business. The collection began to follow a similar direction to other collections within the Enesco group.

A second series of 8 collectible plates (Victorian Playtime) was also introduced in 1991. These were:
  1. A Busy Day
  2. Little Masterpiece
  3. Playing Bride
  4. Waiting For A Nibble
  5. Tea And Gossip
  6. Cleaning House
  7. A Little Persuasion
  8. Peek-a-Boo

In 1992 an annual production mark was introduced and added to the underside of each figurine to indicate the year of production. The annual production marks are as follows:

1992: Artist's Palette
1993: Five Petal Flower
1994: Teapot

The first series of figurines was introduced in 1992, as the Muse series, which pays tribute to the fine arts.

The Victorian Village collection of scenes, figurines and accessories was introduced in 1993 to create vignettes of the Rochester neighborhood of Maud's youth. These feature models of Maud's childhood home, friends and family. The special edition collector?s sets are even produced in a limited edition of 1,868 (representing the year of Maud's birth).

The Linen & Lace series features fashion illustrations from Maud's time with Delineator magazine.

The Maud Humphrey Bogart Collector's Club was formed in 1991 as a result of the growing popularity of the collection. Enesco's Product Development Manager, Shelly Cross, helped to establish the club. Annual membership (of $37.50) included an exclusive club figurine and a quarterly newsletter, called Victorian Times.
