Arthur Moeller first modeled this Hummel figurine in 1935. It was previously known as "Night Watchman". This '2/0' smaller size (approx 4" tall) was introduced in 1985.

This particular figurine bears the Goebel TMK6 backstamp on the base. It also, unfortunately, has been repaired. You can see from the pictures that the top of the axe (halberd) has been broken off and reattached. As a display piece this repair is not immediately obvious, but the significantly reduced price reflects this repair.
