This Goebel figurine depicts a young man pulling a fish from a net he is holding over a wooden bucket. It was sculpted by Gerhard Bochmann and comes from his Country Characters collection.
This porcelain figurine measures 8.5" tall and bears the Goebel TMK5 (Goebel bee) trademark, alongside the incised model number and date (1971). The artist's signature is incised along the back of the base.
Produced in a variety of color schemes, including bright colors, pastel colors and all white, this is the pastel version. It is also known by the reference number FR31 (the FR is for figurines in the 18th century Rococo style).
