This Sebastian Miniatures figurine is inspired by earlier figurines of Mr & Mrs Beacon Hill (SML-79 & 80). Mr and Mrs Rittenhouse Square were designed to be a similar pair for Philadelphia. Mrs. Rittenhouse Square is seen here looking disdainfully at a bust of Benjamin Franklin.
This figurine was originally designed and issued in 1948. This particular one is a reissued version, produced from 1981 to raise funds for the Scheie Eye Institute in Philadelphia. Three versions were issued (with suffix A, B & C) each with a different dress color. The red dress version was produced by the Lance Corporation, with production number 2468.
Unfortunately, the nose of Benjamin Franklin appears to have been damaged and there is also a little damage to the edge of the base. It measures 2.75" tall. It does not come in the original box.
