This Royal Doulton Bunnykins figurine is from the Inventors collection. It depicts Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the innovate engineer, most famous for his work with bridges, tunnels, ships and railways.
The figurine depicts him holding a replica of SS Great Britain, which he designed. Built in 1843, it was the first ocean-going ship to be built of iron, powered by an engine and driven by propeller.
This earthenware figurine was introduced in 2007 in a limited edition of just 1,000 pieces. This particular one is uniquely marked as number 0269. It measures 5.5" tall and comes new in the original box, with certificate of authenticity.
