This M.I. Hummel figurine depicts a young farm girl feeding the chickens. It was first modeled in 1948 by Arthur Moeller and introduced in a smaller size in the mid-1950s. Both sizes underwent a restyling in the mid-1960s by Gerhard Skrobek.
This figurine is the smaller size, at approximately 4.5" tall. It also features a mix of the Skrobek styled figurine body with the original Moeller styled head. It bears the Goebel TMK4 (three line bee) backstamp.
The underside of this piece is crazed and there is a very small chip on the back of one of the chicks that detracts only minimally from this otherwise excellent figurine.
