Centimental Bears The Centimental Bears collection is a collection of miniature figurines from Colour Box Miniatures and Enesco. The collection was introduced in 1994 in the US. It is a collection of teddy bear figurines, based on equivalent pieces issued in the UK under the name of the Colour Box Teddy Collection. The collection is designed and sculpted by Peter Fagan. Each teddy bear in the collection is a nostalgic replica of an antique teddy bear from the personal collection of Peter and Frances Fagan. Each teddy bear is loving sculpted into an imagined setting and accompanied by a story card, written by Frances Fagan, which describes the character?s background. The UK version of this collection was begun in 1988, but the 1994 US introduction was produced under license by Enesco. Although there is a large overlap in the pieces available in the UK and the US, there are some that were unique to each market and there were also many differences in color palette used in each case. Each character in the Centimental Bears collection includes a 'Centimental' penny attached to its story card. This penny is the same size and look as an actual penny, but it has a teddy bear image and it is stamped with a tiny hear silhouette in the center.
