This M.I.Hummel figurine depicts a young boy climbing a fence to escape a rather aggressive duck.
This 3.75" tall figurine was introduced in the mid-1950s as a smaller version of an original 1948 model by Reinhold Unger. There have been a variety of sizes made and also variations in the hand positioning.
This particular figurine bears the TMK2 (full bee) backstamp and is the oldest version of the smaller size, with hands placed either side of the fence. The base is also stamped "? by W Goebel 1948".
