The Coal Shed holds special significance to fans of David Winter cottages, as it was the coal shed at the back of his parents home where David first began sculpting his cottages. The roof of this cottage is removable to show incredible detail inside the shed, including David himself, leaning over a table and engrossed in his work.
This cottage was issued in early 1989 as the 6th of the Collector's Guild cottages. It was retired in 1991. This one is hand-signed by David on the felt underside.
At 4.5" tall and 7.75" long, this piece comes in the original box with certificate of authenticity.
A very small chip to the paintwork at the very edge of the base is the only imperfection in this piece and shown in the close-up picture below.
