The Shropshire Pig Shelter is part of David Winter's Shires collection. This is a series of 12 pieces that capture life in the English 'shires' (early rural counties). Each piece in the series includes Andrew Stadden's metal figurines, which enhance the character of each cottage.
This particular cottage shows a pig and her piglets beneath a shelter made of cut logs, built beside a tree. It was introduced in 1992 and retired in 1995. It measures 2.75" tall and it comes in the original box with certificate of authenticity.
