The Crofter's Cottage is part of David Winter's Scottish Collection. A croft is a small agricultural landholding that is most commonly found in the Scottish highlands and islands.
There was a Crofter's Cottage already in existence (since 1986) before the launch of the Scottish Collection. It was remodeled for inclusion in the 1989 Scottish Collection and has become known as the "Scottish Crofter's Cottage" to differentiate from the original. The Scottish version includes stone weights on the roof to help keep the thatch in place from the harsh highland winds.
Measuring 4.5" high by 5" wide, this cottage was retired in 1996. It comes in the original box with certificate of authenticity.
