This Hummel figurine depicts a boy dressed as a clown holding a paper lantern on a long pole. The “paper” lantern is actually ceramic, like the figurine, and the pole is detachable.
This figurine was modeled in 1990 by Helmut Fischer, intended as a partner piece for the figurine “Carnival” (#328), and released in 1993 as its first issue. It is 6” tall to the top of the boy’s head.
This particular figurine bears the “First Issue 1993” stamp as well as the TMK7 trademark. It is also signed and dated by both the sculptor, Helmut Fischer, and by Christian Goebel, one of the current sixth generation Goebel family members to lead the company.
