This David Winter castle is part of the Scottish Collection. Its creation makes for an interesting tale.
Most people have heard of Macbeth from Shakespeare’s famous play, but do not know that Macbeth was a real king, who ruled Scotland from 1040 to 1057. The real and the fictional Macbeths are very different. David Winter created this castle as tribute to the real Macbeth, who he believes to be unfairly misrepresented by the famous playwright.
This castle bears typical Scottish castle traits (conical roofs and half-turrets) and stands strong and proud against any would-be attackers.
First issued in 1989, this castle was retired in 1996. It measures 8.5 “ tall and it comes in the original box with the certificate of authenticity.
