In its original white padded presentation case, this special figurine was issued in 1985 to celebrate the Golden Anniversary of Hummel figurines. The first "M.I. Hummel" figurines were introduced 50 years earlier in 1935.

Modeled by master sculptor Gerhard Skrobek in 1979, this figurine was limited to production just in 1985.

The underside of the base is inscribed in a circular design "50 YEARS M.I. HUMMEL FIGURINES 1935-1985". It also reads "THE LOVE LIVES ON" just below and bears the TMK-6 mark.
