This Precious Moments figurine depicts a groom in a gray suit with a yellow bowtie, standing patiently awaiting his bride. It is one of 8 pieces in the Wedding Party series, sometimes called the Bridal series.

Originally issued in 1986, this particular figurine bears the mark of the Bow & Arrow, indicating that it was produced in 1989. The first year pieces were produced without hands (dubbed the 'No Hands Groom'). The mold was changed to include the boy's hands from 1987 onwards.
