This Goebel figurine is the fourth and final figurine in a series of four produced for the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the club. The series, known as the GFWC Centennial Figurines, was intended to represent classic women's attire throughout the lifetime of the club.
This figurine depicts the fashion of the period c.1965. The lady with light brown hair is dressed in lilac full length skirt and a white blouse. She is wearing a pearl necklace.
Released in 1988, this figurine stands at 8.25" tall and bears the Goebel TMK6 trademark.
The black sash shows signs that the paint is beginning to flake. This is a common problem with black paint on ceramic items of this type and period.
