This Goebel figurine is third in a series of four produced for the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the club. The series, known as the GFWC Centennial Figurines, was intended to represent classic women’s attire throughout the lifetime of the club.
This figurine depicts the fashion of the period c.1940. The light brown haired woman is dressed in a green ruffled lace dress with three quarter length gloves. She is wearing a pearl choker and is holding a nosegay of lilac flowers.
Released in 1986, this figurine stands at 8.5” tall and bears the Goebel TMK6 trademark.
