This M.I. Hummel figurine depicts a young girl peering over a wooden fence at a swan and her cygnets, which are swimming in a pond or stream. A bluebird is sitting on the fencepost, singing his little heart out. Modeled by Gerhard Skrobek in 1956, this figurine was not introduced into the US market until 1972. This particular piece bears the TMK5 (Goebel bee) trademark and measures 4.5" tall. There is some evidence of light crazing around the base of this figurine.
