This is a figurine of a little shoemaker (or cobbler) from M.I.Hummel. It was originally named "shoemaker" before being named "boots". The young boy has a pair of boots under his right arm and is holding a pair of shoes in his left hand.
This figurine was first modeled in 1940 by Arthur Moeller and restyled in the late 1970s by Gerhard Skrobek. It was permanently retired in 1998. Issued in 2 sizes, this is the larger size at 6.5" tall. It bears the TMK3 (Stylized Bee) trademark.
There appears to be a tiny fleck of paint missing right in the middle of his blue apron, which is the only minor flaw in this otherwise excellent figurine.
