This Goebel figurine is from Lore's Blumenkinder collection. It depicts a young boy holding a card, gift and bouquet of flowers in one hand and a yellow bird in the other hand. It measures 6" tall.
This figurine was designed by Gerhard Bochmann in 1964, although it has an incised date of 1966. It is part of the first edition of 12 Blumenkinder figurines, which were produced in limited quantities of 2,000 each. It also bears the Goebel TMK4 (three-line bee) back stamp.
Unfortunately, there is the tiniest of chips to the uppermost leaf in the boy's bouquet. To the naked eye it appears as little more than a little white spot on the very tip of the leaf, but under detailed inspection, the glaze and some of the green color has been accidentally scraped off.
