The Barley Malt Kiln is one of twelve miniatures in the David Winter Cameo Collection. It was introduced in 1992 and retired in 1995.
These kilns were used for the drying/roasting of barley grains as part of the process of making beer. They were once commonplace throughout the villages of England. Many larger breweries today try to emulate the flavors produced by these traditional village kilns.
This piece measures just 2” tall and comes in the original box with the certificate of authenticity.
There is a special diorama (display) designed to present the Cameo Collection to the best effect.
