A Bit Of Nonsense

This is a railway station platform sign for the place in Britain with the longest name. On the island of Anglesey, in North Wales, Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantyslllogogogoch is famous for its long name and the 15 foot long railway station sign that bears the name.

As this is a mouthful for anyone not fluent in Welsh, this sculpture also goes by the name 'A Bit Of Nonsense', which aptly describes its inclusion among the David Winter 'Cottages'.

This sculpture was released as part of the Welsh Collection in 1993 and was retired in 1996. It measures 9.75" wide and 3.5" tall. It comes in the original box with certificate of authenticity.
